Surfing is a rare chance to see a side of life most people never knew existed and we would like to extend that opportunity to anyone with a desire to learn. Space Coast Surf is here to bring the joy and excitement of surfing to everyone. We focus on water safety, ocean awareness, and surfing fundamentals. Our mission is to provide each student with a safe, creative, and fun surfing experience. We recognize that each student will have individual needs and it is our goal to provide students with the proper care and encouragement to succeed. We aim to provide top quality instruction for any age or skill level. Although there is no age limits at Space Coast Surf we do expect a certain level of athleticism from our students.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

We will provide everything you need to have a great time learning to surf. You also have the option to bring your own surfboard to learn on if you prefer.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? ARE ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED?

We provide everything you need to learn how to surf. All you need to do is wear a bathing suit. Feel free to bring anything else you’ll need for a day at the beach. Depending on the location we have a Space Coast Surf tent or other identifier on the beach where it is safe to leave your belongings, however, we are not responsible for any lost, misplaced, or stolen property.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you sign up for lesson on a specific day(s) and are unable to make it, we do require a minimum of 24-hour notice. Which means, if we are starting at 9 a.m., then we need you to cancel by calling or emailing by 9 a.m. the day before. If you fail to do so, you are responsible for payment for the lesson. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT IS RAINING?

Safety is our number one priority, so we will only cancel Surf School if the surf or weather conditions are unsafe for lessons. Which means if it is only raining (as in no lightning or thunder), we will still surf. However, if we deem that any unsafe weather conditions move in, we will either cancel your surf lesson ahead of time, or during, and allow you to make up the missed class.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS?

We do so on a case by case basis. If your child has any special needs, it is required to make this known to us prior to signing them up. Please call or email us. This is for the safety of your child and others so we can ensure they have the best surfing experience possible.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WAVES ARE SMALL OR BIG?

Unfortunately, we cannot predict what Mother Nature has in store. We always hope that when you are with us that you have the ideal surfing conditions. However, sometimes that is not the case. Safety will always be of our upmost importance, but we will strive to complete your lesson in the time it is scheduled and will only cancel if conditions are unsafe or too small to provide a lesson. If you would like to know the surfing conditions prior to signing up or showing up, you can always reach out to us the day before your scheduled lesson and we will share the forecast with you so you can decide in advance if you want to change the day you join us.

HOW CAN I TIP MY INSTRUCTOR?

Your instructor keeps 100% of the gratuities given. Your instructor can accept cash at the time of the lesson. If you would like to tip but are unable to at the time of the lesson please see the thank you email you received before your lesson.
